I have come up with a problem at work.........

I need a tourney to run on a Tuesday night, So far i have tried £10 and £20 re-buy Texas, Omaha, and a round of each tournament nothing seems to work. Our other days are doing really we get allot of runners especially our £5 + £10 re-buy nights. But i think if we run two of these then instead of one busy night we will get two half decent nights.

So, The question is What sort of tournament would you like to see in your casino?

then go for the little guys with a 20 freeze

the problem with a freeze is it doesnt create a prize pool to get the juices flowing for the big time players whosee the rebuys as a +ev but if the buy in too big it still wont attract the little guys who are used to 5-10 comps as they think its out of there range

so you need to get the little guys in which will then attract the sharks and once the numbers are up you can start making it 30-50 quid

Put in a limited rebuy tournament, 2 rebuys or 1 rebuy and 1 addon.

Yep, try a one rebuy, one add on (deep stack of course, say 4000) WITH a guarantee.

The last bit is the only way to increase the runners in my opinion

Decide who you are aiming this at... if it is the bigger buyin players- then swansea are already running their 100 + 100 buyin on tues. if it is the lower buyin player monday is £10rb and wed is £5rb so you may be struggling with people not wanting to play 3 days in a row.  The freezeouts put the gamblers off and will therefore reduce the field. Tuesday maybe therefore destined to be a quiet night.....

Running a league with a points system/prizes/ grand final involving a Tuesday may be an answer. I like the idea of a league and it encourages regular attendance.... It also rewards consistant performers.

Will see you soon sean-as soon as I am off the sick again-  Wink
