i am new to torrenting. i have downloaded azureus and successfully torrented some avi files from poker bay.

only the sound plays tho. why no picture? any ideas?

simple solution if u like ur standard windows media player etc is to just install the codec often its divx, found at www.divx.com

Recommend it for any media ur downloading off torrentsites as bout 90% use divx codec

You need some codecs to play the picture ypu could try the link below or just search www.cnet.com

VLC is far more simple than pissing about downloading xvid, divx etc codecs

Couldnt agree more - also codecs are becoming more and more used for trojans and virus's
