magazine better than id thought it be .I had trouble with betfair getting me in mags freeroll but emailed mag and they replied within 5 min with a mob no in case of other probs. As for grub calling him idiot bit strong hes making a living even though he likes to shock. alot of people call us poker players dont mean we are idiots    pokerram

Maybe I wasn't clear - the guy writes OK & can be funny - BUT his persona in his articles before he started on Poker Player was - well a professional idiot - ie no challenge to stupid/embarrassing.... wasn't having a personal dig - just saying all his stuff that I've read needed to be taken with a pinch of salt.

In his book Killer Poker - Crushing the Online Game , john Vorhaus advocates diong everything possible to wind players up using the chatbox. I dont do it myself but you make money from people making mistakes against you so I can see the point.

Then John Vorhaus is an idiot too. manners, class, human decency, call it what you will, the boundries don't change when you sit down at a poker table, real or vitrual. Don't say anything in a chat box you wouldn't say to someones face, and those that do say it to peoples face, when the game ends the slate ISN'T wiped clean.

i dont normally use the chat to wind people up but when it came to the blonde events i do as i think the money we are playing for isnt important its the game itself that matters and to jokingly wind people up makes it very funny

many will have noticed during the last event on crypto i was kind of a bully in chat all with in reason but it help my game so i am personally all for the homourous table wind ups as they help me win

Not read JV's book but enjoyed his blogs UB...

I think this online abuse can be counter productive. I tend only to bite back. i.e the UB trny where the septics antics tested the patience of a saint Cheesy

It can drive people away. I've seen suckouts in cash games get a torrent of abuse and after a short time the game either breaks up or the fish stops playing badly. Counter productive...not to say you won't see me vent online every so often Grin

Hey I got a mention in the latest Poker Player Magazine, it talks about their on line comp and the final table, they had 110 runners, saying:

"Massive chip leader The_Brief blew his stack to finsih 6th"

now that hasn't healed the blooming wound!

How do you get time to read a magazine? The only time I get is when I am in the bath, it goes soggy in the shower (the Magazine that is).
