What was the buy in for this tourney and how many runners

Just out of interest
I actually can't remember the buy-in. I think $3,000 maybe? There were 6 heats of 6, so 36 runners + a celebrity qualification heat thing with another 6 runners.

Was it open to all? Or were people "selected" to buy in?

As for Women only comps, I personally do not like them - it is 100% discrimination.

But if it gets more women involved in poker that wouldn't of entered a "normal" poker tournament then it is a good thing for poker IMO

Yes it was open to all Paul, if you had $3,000 then you could play (if there was a space lol).  Actually I feel more sick about that hand now than I did at the time - lol.  Did not enjoy that.

They had a list of favourites that they wanted to play - e.g. Liz Lui,  Lucy Rokach, Jennifer Tilly, etc. But aside from that anyone who stumped up the money was allowed to play. The earlier rounds were pretty donkish, so regardless on what you think of these kind of tourneys if you're a good woman poker player entering represents massive value.

I also liked the fact that each level was 21 hands in this structure, rather than a set time of 30 mins or so. It was much-less crapshooty than any other Matchroom tourney I'd seen before this one.

Does anyone know much about Bronwyn Campbell?
Aye, she owns a strip club in Glasgow. Plays at the Cincinatti Club a lot, and is the fiance of Glasgow Ranger's number 1 Allan McGregor.

She's next playing the European Open - I hope to get my logo on her instead of that HM crap lol Wink

I asked about the HM logo and apparently Jackie Vaswani had two logos THM and Full Tilt but was only allowed one. So Bronwyn agreed to use the THM logo.

Jesse May had a classic line in he show, which was so funny. But with old age i have forgotten it already. Will have to watch the tape again.  Cheesy
