Enormously satisfying 32 run victory. Right, I'm off to plan my Season 10 Div IV campaign Wink

1st OD game in Div V

Put my strongest possible team out

they scored 11 off the first over ( from by best bowler).. who got revenge by yorking the guy!

Bowled them out for 86 in just under 40 overs, knocked it off losing just the 1 wicket in less than 10 overs

Sitting pretty at the top of the league. like that'll last!

They scored 344, my bowlers are all pants.
I managed 332 in reply, was more than I was expecting...lol

Good win for me

I played a team that should finish about 3rd or 4th in the league. They posted 196 AO on a slow wicket. I got there in 40.4 overs for the loss of just 2 wickets.

Was up against the other promoted team who I thought looked slightly stronger than my lot.

However it turned out to be very onesided.....thankfully the right way too!

And that's the end of the match. Athletico Foxy won by 9 wickets.
kildare 165-10
Athletico Foxy 166-1

So that's one div V win chalked up and a possible chink of light in my survival battle.

Obviously need two teams below me for a playoff to stay up and I can now target kildare as one and maybe CRSM as another.

In fact if anyone could explain to me what's going on at CRSM then I would be grateful.......he's a very active manager but then take a look at his current squad and transfer dealings!

I played one of the promotion-hopefuls in my league and was almost tempted to PIC with only a selection of first-team players. I decided to PAN, field a full-strength team, and against the odds I came out with a narrow (and unexpected) victory. The stats say I should've lost - obviously some good tactics somewhere in there... or luck!!
