think image is important here.

push may well get better hand to lay down and any raise commits you anyway so shove seems ok on first glance to me.

Only time I am not pushing the turn is if I hit the flush.

qft

although were you going to push anyway or did the arrival of a credible scare card have a bearing in your decision?

given preflop action, and given flop action, i cant see any better hand folding. Thats not to say a push is a bad play, it could well get called by worse, but the notion that it gets better hands to fold seems fanciful

wow. I entirely disagree with this. I can see AK/AQ passing but i cant think of a WORSE HAND calling.

ok, can you see AK/AQ just calling preflop, putting $40 in on the flop, and then folding? what make up of poker player, limps AK/AQ pre, gives all that flop action, and then folds? if the pot was raised preflop, id agree with you entirely.

and the same reason why AK/AQ wont fold postflop, given preflop action,  is the same reason that i dont think worse hands would fold a fair % of the time

Surely his range is kinda super polairsed to two pairs or sets on the flop? Unless he sucks at playing flush draws or has 7c5c? If he plays them in this way on the flop isnt he calling to commit with a non scare card turn? I don't think AK AQ showup enough here to make bluffing him off them profitable. Will he give up A4 46 given the aggression you have now shown? If not what does pushing achieve? At the same time I like the line lol Smiley. Questioning myself too!

Yep. Not gonna go into a right and wrong argument, but when Hero pushes on the turn, a huge bunch of 1/2 solid players are folding AK/AQ.

I dont think the push is too bad, you could make a stronger hand fold but even if you do get called by a stronger hand you will still have a fair few outs left... TBH I think this hand plays itself- there is such a large range of various hands you could be up against from 2 pair, to sets to AK to AQ/AJ

I really feel the majority of his range in this hand is gonna be made up of sets and 2 pair, making the push more questionable.

I agree his range really is quite strong here imo, but its a really weird spot this. As if he had a total monster here villain doesn't he 4 bet the flop and get it in on a semi wet board.

I really am struggling to put him on ax here (unless its a4 or a6) as Totalise said ak or aq raise preflop surely or don't slowdown postflop. I would have thought we would fold out weaker aces with the 3 bet but maybe not. I think a smaller flush draw is a possibility or even 46.

In game i probably get it in with the hope I have some fold equity, plus i have club outs. Meh i just hate this spot and had a similar hand the other day to this blind on blind and got in against two pair.
