Top two pair, but...

50p/£1 live cash game.
I have just lot a chunk of my stack having to lay down AA to two pair, and am about to get some more chips when this happened. So I've got about £70 at the table.
It's folded round to me in the button, and I raise to £4 with
.
The small blind is a loose aggressive player, and seems to understand the game from what I've seen (it was to him I laid down the aces). The BB is having a laugh, and enjoying the game, although he isn't the best. He likes to play a lot of pots, and has obviously been told that betting at pots gives him a chance to take them down, as he bets or raises most hands.
Both call the £4 and the flop is:
The SB checks, and the BB bets £25 into the £12 pot.

Whatever you do, don't fold.
I would shove in a kind of frustrated way as calling looks even more strong than shoving.

I'd push, I meant push!
I'd be dead nervous though

Didn't even cross my mind.

I did shove.
The BB calls, as does the SB.
Turn -
River -
SB turns over
for the rivered flush.
BB had
for two pair.
Ignoring the result, I was thinking after the hand that I might have been better off calling on the flop in order to get another bet out of the BB on the turn. Obviously the way the hand played out it didn't matter (I didn't expect the SB to be involved after my shove, and I don't think I'd have been calling with his hand), but doesn't the shove make it less likely that the BB is going to call and I don't make the most out of the hand?

BB has bet £25 into a £12 pot, and its another £40 or so to him to call, he aint folding, and if he is folding the flop after that overbet, he most likely isnt gonna fire the turn. SB call is kinda meh....

agreed, the SB call is nasty, you've done your best to get a non nut heart draw to fold
