Due to the limpers I put no one on AK. My only worry was K9. Could I have gotten away from this?

Was my raise too small on the flop or should I have flat called and reraised the all in?

In short, I need someone to tell me I'm pants before I shoot myself.

I guess it brings to mind the old adage "don't go broke on a hand in the big blind in an unraised pot" Embarrassed

You were ahead until the river (where no action took place).

Why would you want to get away from the best hand?

There are certain hands where you wuill go broke and this is one of them, anywhere but the blinds and your not in the hand, no matter what u bet after the flop the guy with trip Tens will be calling especially in a cash game.

Forget it, put it behind you and win your losses back and some! Cool

like bongo said when the all the money went in you were in front and by quite some way. like they say if you put your money in when youre in front you will end up a winner more often than not. it was very unlucky

Should I have raised more on the flop? Or maybe flat called and made a real show of strength after this when the 3rd guy goess all in by raising then?

I think you played it well and just got unlucky.

You know that AK probably isn't out there because there was no preflop raise.

It's a rainbow flop so you don't have to worry about a flush.

You could raise more, but if he's got 2 pair or trips then the chips are going in anyhow.

So, considering this, there's nothing wrong with trying to lure in a potential 1 pair hand.

In a 3 way pot, if you are getting heavy action on the ignorant end to a str8 then i would be wary.

you are upagainst either a set or a st8 most of the time. So at best you are 70% but quite often drawing dead. Having said that i would have got it in, but thats why i am a bad cash player.

True but I thought AK or any trip hand (TT, JJ, QQ) would have raised pre flop. The only hand I was worried about was K9.

Lol dont worry - this week I suck at cash too!

I like the call on the flop. So long as it is followed by a big bet on the turn when a blank hits. (which it was, so happy days).

If a scare card hits the turn, such as any card over a 9, then you can slow down/get away from the hand. The all-in player gives you some degree of protection from being bet off the best hand if a 9, K or A falls.
