I entered a £20 mtt on DTD/WH last Friday night it started at 7pm. there were 58 runners - top 5 got paid - winner about £400 -down to - 5th £75.
I'm doing well when the phone rings and a mate says were going to the pub are you coming - initially I say I'm ill but after a bit of coercion I agree to go.

At 8pm I am chip leader with 12000 - next is 9000chips - there are 30 players left in. - My wife knows how to play poker when we go on holiday the whole family plays - she knows the hand ranking and rudimentary tactics. I tell her that at 9pm she will have to play this tournament - so for the next hour she plays with my advice.

At first she panics every time its her turn to play and says she cant remember whether a K is better than a Q.

After a bit she gets the hang of it and at 8.50 when I leave she is enjoying it - there are 16 left in - "we" are chip leader with 17000chips the second player had 12000 there were 4 players with less than 2000 chips.

I was thinking to tell her to fold every hand unless she had AA KK QQ or AK but thought that may restrict her - I didn't expect that she would be in the money but surely she would make the final table.

I got home -she was in bed pretending to be asleep - the lap top was still on , she had come 15th!!

On questioning she said I thought I had a good hand and just kept pressing the buttons. She said she doesn't know what hand she had but lost all the chips in two hands - she said she thinks she has an A in one of them.

Isn't it bad form to slag off someone's performance after they foster your comp?
