Pretty much a wide open market with Tiger recovering from his latest knee surgery, I think it's 12/1 the field.

I have three picks for modest stakes:

Andres Romero @ 90/1, and Hunter Mahan @ 80/1.

AN Other did not get matched, good job really as he's +4 through 8 holes Smiley

I'm on Romero. Also Vijay Singh @23.

He withdrew through illness after four holes today, I think he was level par at the time.

I will be keeping a close eye on him as I do believe he has what it takes to win many tourneys. I feel that he has an ideal game for something like the US Open and I'll be looking for a decent price in that given his speedy recovery from whatever is ailing him this week. He played some fantastic golf in last year's World Matchplay at Wentworth.

Immelmen withdrew pre tourney with a stomach illness and Mahan withdrew after 3 holes after vomiting behind the green and was treated by doctors. It looks like some of the players had picked something up.

My view on Mahan is he will win tourneys at some stage if he can just brush up a little on his putting.

Ive got a few quid on Westwood from the start

Ive also had a bet on A Kim (after his 1st round) who is still available at 19-1 . Great player in top form and coming of a win in his last event.

Sadly I am laying Sergio Garcia as I cant see him keeping it together round Sawgrass for 4 rounds. far to short at 6.6

Good luck with your bets

Ive laid too Chris, win or lose there isnt a player in the Comp(Mick aside) that I wouldnt lay at under 6/1 after 1 round. If the wind blows later as it is forecast it could be very tough for the players out tonight.
