No the hand i quoted with KQ.

People limp re-raise more than just AA!!

Sorry Flushy I should've realised that when you quoted the KQ hand specifically *blushes*

I suppose as the aggressor pre flop I need to put in that C-bet. My stack is pretty short so any bet commits me so I would c-bet all in same as I did with the top pair. It gives me two ways to win then as I can take the pot down uncontested or still have some outs (though I'm uncomfortable with being a big dog at this point.

As for the limp re-raise, I've got to say that I haven't seen a limp reraise with KK or QQ yet! But again I probably do not play enough poker to see this happen. If this is a common move with JJ up (why do it with JJ???) then I guess I need to shrug shoulders and call.

So his 83 is ahead a large amount of the time then?

Depends on his read of me. Never played against him in my life, I'm 6 hands in and played one pot where my top two pair was outdone by QQ on the river. I wasn't showing much emotion (I rarely do, win or lose). If I had played 6 hands against somebody who played one hand with no other read, I would not be calling bottom pair with no kicker. As to whether 83 is ahead more often than not - no it wouldn't be. The guy who called called a lot of middle pair shit and backdoor draws all the time I was at the table, not somebody I could have a lot of respect for

I'm obviously a bad player looking at reactions in the thread, but I ain't that bad to call off with backdoor draws and no pair.

Doesn't matter if you're a good player or not...sometimes the gamblers just get lucky.

He's had some miraculous surgery if it was him Cheesy

The 12 handed game was at Star City in Nechells. Shouldn't really go there the TD never listens to feedback re: structure and the games offered.

I would definetely recommend you try the Broadway.  You get your fair share of gamblers there but it is not as bad as some of the other RB Bingofests.

I will try the Broadway. I think I'm gonna take an actual break from playing for a month or so, but stick around here and participate in discussion anyway. It gives me time to do some studying and to freshen up a bit as I obviously havent got the right head on to play seriously.
