I fail to see the link, Ranma was a boy that changed to a girl & vice versa depending what temperature the water was.

This is a fat panda that is hopeless at Kung fu. 

Its filled with slapstick comedy that kids will love and a few gems for the parents

Kung fu Panda is actually a pretty decent, although newmanseye - if you dont understand the connection from kung fu panda to ranma, you havnt read or watched any ranma Smiley

Your spot on Gryff, I read a brief synopsis of Ranma 1/2 online and i just could not see the connection.

Mind you not many would get the depth of GITS if you just read a synopsis.
