Flop 7 4 2 rainbow sb bets 200 and i min raise to 400,sb now reraises to 1000.what do you do now? Never played this player? What range of hands if any can you put him on?is there an obvious decision?

what range of hands can you put him on
?
If you do want to give ranging an unknown $10 sng player in the first hand a go get your card deck out in doors, spread them about over the floor and throw a couple of darts at them.
p.s- dont min raise pls!

Lol@bolt.ok
u cant put him on a hand, that i can accept, and the min raise may not have been the best move,i didnt want to get myself pot committed just yet.anyways i started a chinwag with him,for the banter.he said he would show.i folded.he showed 6 7 os.he went on to say i had AK.I suppose it may have looked like that.do u think he is going for it if i raise his flop bet to 700 or 800?anyway he didnt last long and i cashed.obv brag post.oh he said my preflop bet was too big.it was interesting to get into his head to see his thought process.

Standard shove here.
Does he really have AA,KK,QQ,JJ?
Does he really call your raise with 74, 72 or 24?
Does he really shove all in to your min raise with 22, 44 or 77? This is vaguely possible but what is more likely?
Sorry, but terrible fold. Wd for cashing though.

Check your option pre, raising into 6 limpers at this level you did well to only get 1 callers especially the one who his oop to you. I would only raise qq+ in this position.
As played just shove after he donks into you, we has an overpair which is the nuts here and hate alot of turn cards. Min raise/ folding is literally the worst thing you can do, look at the money in the pot you have to be committed here.
If you raise pre in low limit sngs with a pair and get it heads up with an overpair, never ever ever fold post flop. You won't go far wrong with this rule.

Cheers guys,i know it was a bad fold, and if he kept quiet in the chatbox,i would have pushed still with doubt though.but the promise of a show kinda stupidly persuaded me.lol.2 Other points,i have confidence at this lvl to make a comeback and this was the start of a multi session, and losing all my chips in the 1st hand would probably have had a negative knock on effect in subsequent games,

I think you have to be prepared to stack off with TPTK in these low limit sit n gos against randoms, especially when heads up post flop. I stack off with TPTK in medium limit STTs unless I have a good reason not to.
With an overpair, your chips should be making scorch marks as they make their way into the middle of the pot.
If you never lose your stack to a set on levels 1-3, you are playing way too tight weak. It just has to happen sometimes.
Min-raise to look weak on the rainbow board and then insta-calling the shove would be an ok play.
Min-raise fold to shove is awful. You need to have a talk with yourself and start getting it in there.
If it helps, look what opponents are stacking off with in lvls 1-3 at this level. Your overpairs will start to look a lot better.

If you can get a read off players in the chat box, you have quite a gift. Personally, I wouldn't bother with all that.

If we're talking psychological factors, that's maybe a fair point.
However, would it not be cancelled out and then some by the positive knock-on effect a double-up would have had on the rest of your games?
Aim to kill every sesh!

you raised initially hoping for either a reraise so taht you could callit
7 4 2 rainbow doesn't scare you.
you push of course and pray he doesn't have a higher pr.
chances are he called a just to see teh flop
yes so he may have hit 2 pr
chances are he's holding a 7 with an overcard
like a A
but its risk it or not.
he may have premium hands as outlined above but if you were prepared to go allin pre-flop why not now with a non-scary board.
