Hi Matt, umm, yeah paid the price for a pretty abysmal run to be honest, 10 defeats in 11 is just not acceptable, doesn't take a genius to work that out.  I only found out about 9.30 this morning, an hour before it was made public.  Will I still be working for them?  Right now, I havent a clue, no idea.  When John left Cheltenham and asked me to go with him, so I imagine whoever they chose will perhaps wont to bring his own staff with him, thats what usually happens, Greg Abbott has been placed in caretaker charge so cant say too much at the mo.

Regarding DTD, on the way from Macclesfield V Gillingham to Nottingham the car managed to fall out with me so I never made it, I did manage to refer the seat to another month though. So all in a pretty shit couple of days!  No one died though so we'll all carry on eh...

What has happened to Carlisle? they seemed a really strong team last season esp. at home. Didn't the board give him the full backing last week also?

Of course theres no easy answer, i think its simply last season they overachieved a little, although topping the table for a long while, i never felt we were best side, far from it, in the 5-8 category, winning 14 home games on the trot at one point.  Lost the best 2 players in the summer, Garner and Westwood and the cheaper alternatives to these just havent performed.

I think, although I may be wrong, there is 4 directors all acting as equal chairmen which didnt help either, think the board may have given him til xmas, but ultimately the punters got him out.

Not a good couple of days for mangers eh, I like the idea in Spain where a manager cannot manage two clubs in one season (i think?)

Watford, Carlisle and Huddersfield are looking for a new one

Not surprised that Boothroyd has left Watford - he was in danger of ruining his reputation as one of the games decent young English managers.

A victim of his own sucess in a lot of ways, he got an average Watford side promoted, but was then forced to sell their better players (Young, King) and not really given any funds to replace them.

I read somewhere that a problem at watford was the players bought in when they entered the prem league were on huge wages compared to alot of new players and a rift occured in the dressing room, hence a reason why he got rid of alot of them?

rofl, Windass is about as thick as they come, he's pretty famous for being a complete twat. An example his son used to (not sure if he still does) play for hudds. One game he watched his son play and had the dog with him, he asked one of the other kids mums to hold the dog while he went to the loo, popped his cock out in front of everyone and pissed on the field then asked for the dog back. Smiley class act.

I think Ian Holloway would be good for Carlisle or Huddersfield, although Tighty may disagree!!
