Usually, you have two choices.
1: Do something you like and make money a secondairy consideration.
2: Do something you don't like and make money a primairy consideration.
If you have a third choice, you are extremely lucky.
the third choice is play poker for a living isnt it?

I work in a Supermarket and it is not a great job. To be honest, managers in supermarkets are glorified shelf stacker's. They do everything the minions do, only they have slightly more authority. As Ripple points out, back shifts are horrible when you are used to finishing at 5pm.
There are a few managers where I work who have degrees and have used this to get fast track promotion, however they still have to unload boxes and stand out in the rain loading up a compactor with leftover rotting produce, etc. One manager I work with has a physics degree and when I see him stacking fruit, I think to myself "WTF are you doing here?"
Sark wasnt you doing a college/university thing?
Yep mate, I was doing geography, however I dropped out half way through 3rd year. I am trying to figure out what I want to do with life like everyone else, lol.

I was running very short on money at the time. It was a boring course to be honest. I was doing human geography rather than environmental/physical geography.
The subject most of us were taught in school is proper good old fashioned geography dealing with glaciers, rivers, etc unlike human geography which is more like economics.

Depending on how good/lucky you are at poker, that could quite easily fall under 1. or 2. for most people.
I think the internal job board is well worth a look, assuming its a big bank there are probably some whacky things to do that most careers advisors had no idea existed as a job title. I've known people getting paid a matching salary to transfer internally in global banks to roles as diverse as crewing a yacht for a year, teaching English in.......land, health and safety officer etc all requiring no particular qualification, all with the potential to dress up as 'broadening your exposure to all facets of the company in an attempt to advance' when really you want to swing the lead for a few years.
Depending on circumstance, I would lean towards roles offering a transfer to a different continent. I would also lean towards any voluntary redundancy that might be around the corner. If you are going to end up with rotten fruit down your suit each day, you may as well take a golden goodbye with you rather than just jacking it in.
