Hi Guys and Girls!

I'm new round here but like it so far! Anyway, I'm 31 and love my Poker, been into it for 8 years now and on-line for 5 or so!  I am a profitable player both on-line and live, but not any major wins yet!  Anyway, I have just come out of an 11 year relationship and need a break, so where do I go? Vegas baby!!!

I am no millionaire (yet) but I do have funds available and believe that I can turn a profit, and have done so before in the sin city on all bar one of my previous visits! My problem is, this is the first visit I have ever made as a single man! This is maybe a very good thing, but I suspect I will see it from a different light! I always played in Vegas, as did the ex - but it was always a couples holiday too - this time I want to go for almost total 24/7 Poker! One or two shows maybe and nights in bars and clubs and fancy meals, of course, but this time I want the Poker alone to take centre stage!

So, a few suggestions please. Not basic Vegas knowledge as I am no Vegas virgin, but where should I stay and where should I play most given that time is not an issue now and I can afford most places within reason...Venetian Deepstack has always appealed and would love to cash in something larger at Bellagio or Caesars?

So many choices on where to play and stay, and who to take with me!

HELP...

First, welcome to blonde Jack!

If you're going to be playing poker pretty much at the time it would probably be worth your while checking out the poker room rates some of the hotels offer, there are some websites around that can point you in the right direction, or I'm sure some people here can help out.

Stay at the Venetian and dont book through a site, only go through the Venetian site.  Slip a $50 note in your passport when checking and ask is there any upgrades available or rooms with a nice view and you should get a suite for around $139 a night.

Be unlucky not to get a suite given its all suites!

Make it $100 and you will be in the Palazzo

Where? Venetian imo. When? November imo.
Deepstack festival pencilled in. You'll find the schedule on their website.
If you stay at the Palazzo you can't get the poker room rate, which is weird, but there you go.
PRR brings the Venetian down to around $130 a night. Play a handful of deepstacks and you'll get it.

November in the Venetian is looking good and quite likely. I was considering the Wynn till I read Tabi(cant do the rest of his name)'s blog!  Will defo get a Poker rate and play a few deepstacks, and take in the odd game elsewhere are try a little cash!  I know its not fashionable but I do want to play a game at Binnions, just for the history and to say I have!

Couple of weeks with a mate and a lot of Poker, a little booze and the odd snazy night out, and plenty of sun! I'm looking forward to it before it even booked or decided on!

Binions have a couple of ok tournies, around 7.30 pm and midnight. Just remember how tight the old local rocks are...lol
Gotta be November, seems a lot of blondes will be there then.

I usually go to Binion's once a trip if I can, for the same reason as you, the history, and to play somewhere completely different.
They have a daily 2pm tourney, for $120, and you don't need a player's card or any of that guff, so can just turn up and play.
Around $20 each way by taxi from the strip.
Chili dogs come highly recommended.
