I could have walked in on the fly and done a better pitch, he was never going to get the money anyway but that was terrible.

At least wear a suit FFS

what a bellend.

all the dragons have is his word that he's better than average, never mind +EV, not mentioning the 250% ROI claim. surely even if he gave the perfect pitch and they all got the idea etc then they would presume that he would be able to get the money from someone (flushy) who had a better chance of knowing if he's any good or not.

never ever ever gonna work imo

It was BBC who insisted on the sunglasses and poker table apparently.  Seems you don't get total ownership of your pitch.

Was never going to work anyway - to have any chance you'd have to create a business plan that they could relate to - a poker hedge fund with management/performance fees and travel expenses to be recharged to the fund.
