why would you 5x a monster? To hope that a less competent player shoves all in over the top of your 5x with JJ or the like (the monster I'm referring to being AA or KK). [ ] good plan |

Relying on your oppo having a hand big enough to shove is ridic here even 9 handed. Even a very aggro player won't shove light without good fold equity. Standard 2.5x or 3x if that's your thing is more likely to induce a shove. Raising 5x wastes a good hand. |

4 players limped into Phil Laak's big blind for $800 each. Laak then raised an additional $50,000 with AA. They all folded obv. Well played sir.
