I have just played a $55 satellite to the $510 WSOPE main event Satellite whuich started at 18.30.

10 players were guaranteed to win a seat to the $510 satellite and at 18.10, with only 12 players left, a 10 minute break started. (First crazy action)

The last person was knocked out at 18.31 and the 10 of us who qualified were not put into the tournament. (Second crazy action)

I then checked my account to see if they had added $510 - Nope, not a dime

I then phoned Betfair only to be told that we were too late to play the tourney (by 1minute) and that Betfair would put us in another satellite of their choice.

When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that none were working today. When I asked the representative  if she would pass on my complaint, she replied that I would have to email Betfair. Crazy crazy crazy!

This follows my experience last year, when someone managed to hack into my Betfair account after multiple password attempts and got access to the substantial funds I had left in my account. The hacker then lost all my funds playing blackjack on Betfair.

When I contacted Betfair about it, they said that it was someone in Paris and that it was just hard luck - they would not reimburse me, even though the money had been squandered on the Betfair site.

I expected more from a big company like Betfair! I have not played on Betfair since, however I want to play the WSOPE again. Now I have been burned again. Marvellous!

It will be interesting to see if anyone from Betfair contacts me!

, when someone managed to hack into my Betfair account

Can you elaborate please? Did they brute force your password? Did you get a virus that leeched your password? I too have substantial funds on Betfair, concerned now...

Mr. P***** off from the Betfair forum:

Having just finished 13th in the wsope sat I am feeling pretty low.

The worst thing about it is that I feel cheated. I would normally sat into these games but as there was incredible value i decided to buy in. I proceeded to run good for a change and found myself chipleader with about 30 left. All fine and dandy. It then became very apparent that every other player was from Denmark!

Then the chat box started buzzing with news of 100+ late entries (and they must have been very late) which were also freebies? If that is correct then 30% of the field have an advantage over me because the game has cost them nothing and they can play in a way perhaps different to there usual game. I know i would.
Another thing that bothers me is the language issue (becoming usual now) i presume it was Danish in the chat box. Again no administrator in such a big game.

Am i right to feel this way or is it just sour grapes? I finished in the top ten genuine players in my opinion and feel that the sheer amount of players from one region leaves the game open to more abuse than usual.

Apparently the rumour is the Betfair pro Peter Jepsen went on a Danish website and gave away 100 seats.

There's another 5 seat main event sat this Sunday....so presume Jac and Steve will be offered that....which might be a blessing in disguise given last night!

Thanks for yourinvolvement Betfair Poker Guy.

It's now 4pm on Monday and I've not heard anything yet!

I will wait for an email as promised, although based on the casual attitude of their customer service call centre, I won't get my hopes up
