A couple of guys I know, Ahmed and Muhammed, have recently been talking about some big buildings which are going to be demolished in London soon - quite a lot of them by the sounds of things.

I'll ask them if they know which ones.

lol, pretty boderline humour even for me

hmm wasnt a fan

If it had been Paddy and Micky would you have liked it?

No biggie with me, just sits a little too close to home.

I was on holiday during the London attacks last time and my mum was working near where it was happening. We couldn't get hold of her for ages when all the phone networks had been shut down. Pretty worrying stuff hence why I struggle to find any of this sort of humour funny.

yeah I thought it was maybe just the wrong side of 'the  line' when I read it this morning, but couldn't put my finger on why as things like that don't usually bother me.  I had the same experience as you, except with my brother, so maybe that's why.

Interesting diversion on the thread. I find it's family/friends that are more bothered by terrorism worries than people who were close to it. I was commuting into Kings Cross and west on the circle line at the time of 7/7, and I reckoned I was probably 1 train behind the Edgware Road one (I get off at Baker St). Nightmare day, obviously, but I was probably only paranoid for a couple of days after, before basically telling myself to f*ck the bastards, and making people paranoid = them winning. So stopped. Family/friends took a lot longer to get over the slightly close shave.

So yes, I LOLed at the joke, and then thought about it, and then was quite happy I did Smiley.

I would imagine a lot of us were affected by close shave with 7/7, my mum commuted into London at that time and was fortunely on time that day. Still laughed at the joke.

Yep, my brother went in early and got a taxi, otherwise could have well been on one of those trains.

lol @ people getting worked up about it.

My Father was in the WTC the first time it was attacked, does that mean i shouldn't laugh about it? People die doing things every day.

Don't see anyone getting worked up. I just didn't find it funny as it was a little close to the bone for me, no major deal.

My Dad was called Patrick, I find this highly offensive

This is highly offensive, if you are offended by anything, especially something highly offensive, don't click this link. The other parts of the series are really good. Highly offensive though. (really)
