Facing river shove

100nl live
History: Have played with villain for about two years, pretty spewy player, I know he is pretty busto. My stack is £250 after calling villains pre, flop, turn and river shove with A4 on a AJ858 board and getting the response, "how can you call" Villain reloaded instantly then tilted off another buy in and sat at table for 2 orbits deciding wether to buy in or not. Has played few rounds and has tightened up. Villain has been pretty aggro blind on blind and there is def some history between each other. Villain is abit spewy and know to make really spewy plays and likes to rep a lot, in the hand above he showed a 5
Villain £135-£145ish (c/o)
Hero £200++ (btn)
Playing 6max, folded round to c/o
Villain has a £1 chip in hand, goes to call then picks up more chips and RAISES to £3.50
Hero
raises to £11
Blinds fold
Villain looks at his stack and then calls
FLOP
Villain thinks for about 2-3 seconds and CHECKS
Hero BETS £15.50
Villain CALLS pretty quickly
Turn
Villain checks his holecards again and then BETS £15.00
Hero RAISES to £36.00
Villain looks at board for about 5 seconds and CALLS
In hindsight this is a really bad raise size, I put oppo on air/draw, and as stated above he is incred spewy.. If I raised to £55 then he would only have £45 behind which would in his and most others opinions not be enough to offer fold equity. Betting £35 he had £75 more to shove
RIVER
Villain looks at his cards, really focusing on his cards and glances at board at the same time , then at his stack, then the pot, then his stack again, then puts all his chips on top of each other and shoves for £75
Hero?
Pot is £197 and we have to call £75.
Sorry if the HH looks a bit all over the place, pretty hard to do live HH's and wanted to put in as much tells etc as possible.
Apart from the river call, thoughts on pre and turn please.

sigh. i just wrote an entire post not noticing you'd hit trips on the flop.
new short version cos i cba typing a long one again
preflop: fine
flop: fine
turn: raise more
river: spewy player, we have trips. if he had 89 i'd expect a turn raise. same with 7x. i expect to see Jx or JT on the river, or missed flushes. also, getting ~2.5:1. easy call, but kdgjegesgsweg if you're beat.

yes. i'd be expecting a 3bet, most likely a shove, with one of those hands.

Preflop is questionable.
If villain is playing tilty / spewy then I don't want to build a big pot with a hand that isn't made / doesn't flop well.
If he is playing like it's his last money on earth then fine.
Turn is tricky.
You want to make him pay enough for any draw to make it a mistake for him to call, but, assuming you are ahead (which you probably are) get him to call or shove.
Pot is about £55 after the flop and he has about £115 left.
When he leads for £15, you can bet a bit more (say £50) and still give him the illusion that you can fold to a shove.
Unless you have a very specific read on the river, then I ain't folding to the shove.
I am guessing by the fact you are posting that you were beat.

Really pass pre when he goes to flat pre, then decides to raise? I think he's folding/ calling- c/f alot of flops, to make this profitable.

meh you have a queen and a seven. live players limp with all sorts of random shit they should be raising with.
If the guy's bad wait for a better spot imo. If not, just 3-bet and then flop trips. ez game

Ok, I don't understand your 3bet here, you say the villian is spewy aggro and tilted so why do you wanna 3bet him with a hand like Q7s.
I agree with you when he donks the turn hes on a draw so I think you should therefore raise more.

His original motion to limp could be due to him having a big hand that he was considering to slowplay but decided against it because he didnt want to risk his last money letting u see a cheap flop with and Ace-rag when he has queens etc. Not every 'tell' you will see in live play means exactly what you think it is.
As played I think youve got to raise more on the turn to get value of the drawing hands and also snap the river.

Hi mate, when he goes to limp/then raises pretty sure he doesnt have a monster here. He is obsessed with position, for example he asks alot where the button is and imediately mucks if he is utg/utg+1 he overplays the btn too. I basically just thought with, 1) him being bothered about the money, 2) was going to limp, this would be an excellant spot for a 3bet steal.
