Leeds hossy like to converse via email rather than post. They have sent me some emails and most of it has just opened in complete jargon. This happened when Boston sent some too but Laxie opened them and then forwarded them ones to me, but i really need to sort this error out as there will be a lot of correspondence being done this way. I use hotmail and a windows vista laptop.

Any ideas.

PS i can open attachments sent from other contacts.

What type of files are they?

I'm thinking they are newer versions of office than you have, in which case you can get a (free) converter.

If you email them to me and let me know what version of office you have I can take a look and see if I can figure out why you can't open them.

I don't know why open office wouldn't open the file, any one got any ideas why? (Seems like a standard doc to me).

In the meantime I've opened the file and resaved it in rtf format - which can be opened by wordpad (the free word processor that comes with windoes) if nothing else.
