I met the Chuckle Brothers at Butlins when I was a kid, I got there autographs, when Barry asked me what my name was I said Barry, he said to me "Thats my name that is" and I said "I know".

Thats my Chuckle Brothers anecdote.

I also met footballer Barry Hayles in a similar 'Barry' incident. I was at a bar in Sheffield, so was he, someone came up to him and said 'Good match today Barry' and I turned round and said 'what?' and he said 'I think he meant me' and I said 'Oh, Im called Barry too' and we both laughed.

I could probably write a book of these.

when i moved into my uni halls one of my flatmates had already moved in and introduced himself to my parents and i as gus. nice to meet you gus, i'm chris.

a month later he tells me that his actual name is cochos and not gus, gus was just an english name he made up on the spot (lol typical english name n1). ooook hi cochos lol.

six months later and shortly before we were leaving the halls he tell's me his real name is actually constantine somethingreekyafteritinou and that it was all just a lie. wtf weirdo.

that's my only constantine story, but then my name's not constantine

Probably not, there were no other Barrys at my school. However I did once live in a shared house with a guy called Barry Evans from Nebraska. I moved there later than he did, so I was referred to as Barry 2, thought I wanted to be Barry UK being as he was a Yank. He lived over here while there was a 'Barry Evans' character in Eastenders (Later to be immortalised in the comedy series 'Extras').

Barry was very funny, I recently have become reunited with him on Facebook.

Yes I have actually, a bunch of Irish guys I have played poker with quite a bit referred to me as 'Barry from Sheffield' for about 2 years and when I was introduced to someone last year in Cork they said 'Oh you are Barry Neville'
