Why (oh why) do they insist on having this the same weekend as DTD? Surely the overlap of players who would otherwise play both is massive. Both places would benefit without the clash, methinks.

I'm guessing as it is pay day weekend and if they do it the weekend after people will have had their fix at Dtd. They figure they capture the London and SE Market and if they get the numbers they are happy?

This starts on Thur/Fri - DTD on Sat. You can play both if you get knocked out on the first day at the Fox.

Also, this isn't a £1000 tourney - £300 comps are local affairs. This got over 110 runners, and got down to the final table before the last tube on Sat night - doesn't really need 100 more players.

I'm pretty sure most people in the £300 at DTD don't come from Nottingham. There were definitely a fair few welsh guys there, some scousers, guys from sheffield, a few from London, etc.
