SchürhakenEuropazeitschrift, Europas längste hergestellte Schürhakenpublikation, ist, - die abschließende Ausgabe zu schließen, die die April-Ausgabe ist, die z.Z. gedruckt wird. Die Zeitschrift wurde am 1. Januar 1999, der Tag gestartet, dass der Euro amtliche europäische Währung wurde. Sie war die erste in seinem Feld und es war einige Jahre, bevor alle mögliche anderen Schürhakenzeitschriften produziert wurden. Der ursprüngliche Zweck SchürhakenEuropa war, die Schürhakenszene zu vereinigen diese Seite des Atlantiks und Spieler in aller Schürhaken-spielenden Nation über Ereignisse draußen zu informieren und Nachrichten ihrer eigenen Länder. Szeremeta sagte: „Diesbezüglich, das wir folgten. I thought it was edited well unlike that pokerplayer dross

It started going downhill when it began publishing photos of lardy naked blokes. I don't know what the editor was thinking.

I have been asked to put the following clarification on my website:

CORRECTION

“In the first edition of Victoria Coren’s book, “For Richer for Poorer, A Love Affair with Poker” she refers to a tattoo that Kate Szeremeta, a fellow poker player, has as showing “Ben Elton’s face tattooed in four colours across her stomach.” In fact, the tattoo is a heart shaped tattoo (the size of a £2 coin) with Ben Elton’s name written across it above her hip. We apologise for the fact that Kate Szeremeta’s tattoo was incorrectly described and are happy to put the record straight.”  ******

  The book is available here - but please bear in mind, should you get hold of a copy from the original print run, that it will include this erroneous description, based on a mistake in my memory from ten years ago. Kate Szeremeta does NOT have a tattoo of Ben Elton’s face. It is of his name in a heart. It is NOT on her stomach. It is above her hip. I apologize unreservedly for the hurt, anger, distress and offence taken at my memory lapse, and for all the trouble and expense that ensued from it. I thought Kate was a friend of mine and would never intentionally have done anything to upset her. I’m sorry. If you wait for the paperback, there will be no reference to Kate Szeremeta at all. I hope everything is now very clear.

I have no proof Nic was behind this ridiculous and frivolous (but emotionally damaging to Vicky) suit.

But I would take 1/100 he was.

Vicky was told by her lawyers that although she would almost definitely win any case there was no guarantee she would be awarded costs. Her publishing house is small and if they had to pay for a lengthy legal case they might well be crippled and be forced to close.

The solution was the above press release.

Well done to the Szeremeta's for this "victopry".

I've had a good look around for the article Poker Europa wrote about me, but I can't find it.

Seeing how litigious the family are I won't paraphrase the piece in case the lawyers come knocking on my door.
