Her books great, even just for the early tales of the Mob and her relationship with them.

Giving 10k to help the aged from a nice scoop last week was a nice touch too Smiley

Thought you were trying to get vicky to take your quiz Red Dog

Well I take hers....

can't remember the last time I managed to get a wall perfect on only connect. so tilting. Cheesy

First one this well was easy. The rest of the questions were ridic hard though apart from the melons, coffee, beef, saffron one

And as for Vicky's book, it's excellent, well worth a read for anyone that's not picked it up yet

Hurray for you, Tommy (and David and Tikay). They're ripping apart my commentary failings on the other thread; this has cheered me up a lot! As I'm sure you'll know, having read it, that is an intensely personal book for me and I put my heart and soul into it; it means an awful lot to me when people say it meant something to them. Seriously, thanks very much.

I like the commentary and think you both contribute an interesting slant on what we're watching. Will also go get the book I think

I'm not just saying this because I think you're funny, intelligent & gorgeous or things like that, but I do

Me too, esp the bit where you laid into Pizzled for calling off his tournament with 23 pre-flop. Tell it like it is. Only Connect incred btw, makes an excellent hour on Mondays with Uni Chal.

+1 on the book recommendation. I thought it was great. Emotional roller-coaster, but then most good books are.

But Victoria, please ask your sound engineer on Only Connect what he's done with the bit between round 3 and round 4. There used to be a descending bass note that made my whole room shake (good sub!), and this series, it's gone! What's (s)he playing at?

I lent Vicky's book to a non poker-playing golfing buddy of mine.

I told him that if he didn't like it not to bother with any other poker books as that is as good as it gets.

Yes, I loved the book as well - without being to much of a fan boy, it's a great read - couldn't put my iPad down when I started it...

I held it in all it's hardbacked firmness and kept it lovingly wrapped in it's dustjacket

Just remembered that I bought Victoria's book on my iPad but I use it so sparingly that I forgot it was on there. I will now go and read it! Smiley
