Havnt played live or hold em for 3 months an played the main event this weekend an was a bit ring rusty an feel like if better prepared may of done a little better overall but would like some advice on my exit hand please! Big thanks to Simon Deadmon for all his helpful tips as was asking him for advice during the tournament while we were sitting on same table an he thinks i was taking the piss but i was SERIOUS
On day 2 Level 17 or 18 i had been on this table for an hour or so an was dwindling down to a stack off 145k from 220k wtout playing much an the blinds were now 6k 12k wt running ante of 1k with 78 players left paying top 63.
Was getting a bit frustrated as table was tough an was card dead an decided to ignore my own advice an be patient. Young competent kid raises to 24.6k utg+1 had seen him open raise earlier an passsed when reshoved , anyway i looked down at
in mid postion an decided to go all in wt my thinking i wasnt interested in min cashing an wanted to try and get chips. He had around 400k an i think i had 145k. my mindset he could fold to my rerasie or i could be flipping if he had 99 88 e.tc or ace k or ace q an id be reasonable shape ? Was pretty sure i wouldnt get called behind me wt anything less than qq upwards as i hadnt really played a hand so was sort of hoping villain was opening light?
Was my play really that bad on what info i have portrayed to you? Tips please...................................
