Was uninstalling all my poker sites because I was giving it a rest, as it has been going pretty bad recently. Had $2.30 in a VC account so I played a $2 MTT 330 runners, and won the bloody thing. Not moaning about winning, but why cant I win any MTT over $10? Should I cash this in and stick to original plan of giving it a rest, or continue and get hooked again?

This is what I would do...

If i'd planned to give up and won like you have, I would still give up for a while, especially if I was going through a bad streak. Well done for winning the MTT. It's up to you, what do you think is best?

Have you thought about playing lower limits for a while?

Any advice grateful THX I think I will have to play at low limits as I love the game and love playing, I don't really want to give it up, but i just don't intend to deposit any more money. So what I got has gotta last for my amusement. It's either that or start talking to my mrs again Cheesy

i think you should strike while the irons hot.  You obviously done somthing right to win that tourney.  Try a $5 or $10 MTT if your in the right frame of mind that is and you should be after that win.   Just a thought.

Well done on the win.

Don't let one result govern your intentions or influence them in any way. Always easier said than done, but it's simpler to get into this way of thinking after a win than after a loss.

If your intention was to quit, then quit, change sites, take a break or whatever you intended to do before the tournament was nailed by you.

Take a small break,..( about an hour or 2)...Cut down your stakes , change sites. Definatley ..try a different site. Never works for me but you never know. Nice win.. But take in hand what Donkey said.. look how many lower staked tournies you could enter, why put all your eggs in one basket. I find it nothing like playing live, where I prefer to play higher staked as most of the time you get a better game, but on the net that doesn't seem to be applied.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do...x

I am not being funny but i really dont understand this. I understand a lot of people prefer playing live but what do you mean by "better game"?

Better standard of play, is what Maureen means..I believe?

I don't bother to play anything under a fiver now, because the play is dire, and the suckouts are rubbish.

I find the standard live a lot worse than online.

Yes H..that is what I meant ,In the festivals I personaly found it a better standard of play than on the Net. I do like the Festival events over the local weekly games, but that is just my preference.
What I suppose I should also have put was I prefer to play a  freeze out,  (evern more so if I can sat my entry) opposed to the rebuys...I just prefer live that all....x
