I just flat pre. We do want fold equity and with two people in the pot we're not getting a fold that often and we don't exactly love going all-in; 3betting allows dominated hands to get away, for the most part, and keeps in pairs that will play postflop generally pretty well against us.

As played I usually just c-bet the flop but I can see reasoning for checking. I don't see why you think the flop is a check but that this is now a good turn to bet. As played check-fold the river, you beat very few hands and it's so easy for you to have a good hand so he's not generally bluffing that much.

I agree my turn bet is bad and should check and probably call a small bet. Just bet it because we picked up so much equity, rather than the flop where we now have a terrible hand with this board texture and crucially, his range.

I know I'm almost never winning by the river. Was considering bluffing allin because we can have KQ and AK and even KK, KJ, KT so easily (as in, we would play them the same as this a lot (less so KK ofc, but would check the flop some %) and expect villian to think that too).

Villain almost always has greater than one pair which is why I was reluctant to bluff, in case he was just a station who couldn't fold a set here.
