Don't think we should be donking. We should lead boards that hit our perceived range. We know we would check a lot of Aces in this spot but Ace high board hits our opponents perceived range more than ours so we gonna get played back at a lot and the pots gonna get inflated cos we don't have any showdown value.

this guy is loving AK here in a limped pot -

would he really ever have ak in a limped pot though?

In PLO we have a saying, "dont go broke in limped pots without SUPER SUPER strong hands" whereas it has no strategic relevance here it's a pretty decent thing to remember.

Pot is small pre-flop and you have the chance to keep it so with what is a very pretty hand. However your hand looks EXACTLY like what it is here which when it's J-high is never a good thing.

I think donking is ok but even very weak players will think "mmm A-High board, he'd raise with an ACE out of the BB surely?" and look you up light otf, K97ss and it's much much better imo. I think c/calling here seems like the best play, you will get to a river card without damaging your stack and you're not really risking any reverse implied as if you haven't made a T or a spade by the river you can prolly fold to 3bets pretty easy. An off-suit T is an abso dream out for you as well.

I'm referring to his relative hand strength rather than specific combination of cards
