Basically, as some of you may have seen via Facebook, Julie decided it would be a good idea to get into a competition at work last year and run a marathon with her boss. They picked the Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon, which starts in approximately 8 hours.

Training was going ahead as normal and all was well until mid-January, when she tripped in the gym of all places and damaged her ankle. Quite badly. It took 14 weeks before she felt comfortable running on it. Needless to say the preparation for the marathon was not completed.

The most she's ever run in one go is 9km. Tomorrow she has to run 26.2 miles. And she's doing it for charity.

Pretty impressive is one hell of an understatement given the training problems she's had.

Well done Julie. Amazing achievement!!

Truely incredible effort.  Some people finish marathons in 6 hours with a full training programme and are over the moon.
