I would repeal the law which states that a licensed bookmaker cannot take a cash bet in a public house if the law
remains in place where you can have a bet if you bet through an account.

You can bet on your ipad , mobile etc and lose thousands from your bank account while drinking in a public house but you

can't bet a £1 if its cash.

Surely it is far more dangerous for an addictive gambler or drunk gambler to be able to bet using funds in an account
rather than only being able to bet with what he has in his pocket.

Someone please tell me I am wrong and state the reason please because I can't get my head round this one.

In fact , everytime I think about this issue , I need a drink

Just the same old out of date pre 1960s gambling laws never being updated.

Well they had the chance in the Gambling Act 2005 but obviously the big boys in bookmaking circles have certain
influences when policy issues are discussed , debated and implemented.

i would legalise PEDs for the over 50's, probable quality of life and health improvements, less illness, falling over, need to be put in an old peoples home etc. In fact it would probably save the NHS money to be dishing the stuff out for free.
