BHS also do a flexible choice breakfast.

Bit posh for me dahling.

In that case you're really going to turn your nose up at my suggestion of Marks & Spencer's cafe.

THB I have no real experience of BHS, it just sounds posh to me. Brrritish Home Stores!

By the same token, Marks and Sparks sounds common.

Finding a good breakfast is a modern problem. back in the day you would just nip to the nearest transport cafe.

There were fahzands of em. Great food, big dirty parking area, lots of interesting trucks to look at, what more could you want?

Stibbington diner or stibby cafe on the a1 southbound just past the a47 is still there a rare treat for proper breakfasts and big cooked dinners their liver dinner is a proper treat ,I drive out there occasionally for this delight either with pots n veg or chips n peas
Try it if you're passing it's well worth it , food from a bygone age
So many of these cafes dotted our major trunk roads one by one they are disappearing
Having travelled around the country for 37 years I've been to a lot some good some not
Many years ago working for the docklands devolpment in East London we stayed at silver town motel , get in from work 5/6 pints then a bit of dinner a shower some paperwork then more beer n roll out of bed in the morn for egg bacon bubble beans fried slice n 2 toast then off to work rinse n repeat 4 nights n 5 days a week ,it never felt like work

I've been in that cafe many times Tony. Liver and sausage with mash. You can't beat it.

Have you ever been in The Limes Cafe on the A614 nr Ollerton? It's still there and is so good that bloke take their families there foe Sunday lunch.

Oh God I'm hungry now.

No Tom I've not been in that one
What about macs cafe next to the a1 northbound at alconbury ? The new a1 now passes straight over it
Then there's Kate's kabin by the a605 /a1 at peterborough ,that's not as good as stibby cafe but still legendary !!
Sadly they are slowly being knocked down
George's diner on silver town way near the woolwich ferry was good  liver with egg n bacon at breakfast time was a fave of mine !
So many great eateries with so many characters working in / passing through all disappearing I could mention so many

There's a really good greasy spoon style cafe in Chester which I regularly attend. Less than a fiver for a full english which is 2 bacon, 2 sausages, egg, black pudding, fried slice, beans, tomatoes, hash browns or mushrooms, toast and a cuppa.

Love the place. If anyone's ever in Chester, go there. Its called Brook Street cafe.
