I dont think forums should be about "us" and "them" what starts whith the best intentions often ends with bad feeling

IMHO it would be a minefield

As this thread has proven, I think.

The next Crypto Blonde Tourney - 20 entry, no juice - will probably be the week after the Luton Festival.

Can i ask, when is the Luton Festival, as ill not have Internet access for 2 weeks?

But surely if everyone knows its a team event it could be good craic.  A site I play on had a UK vs USA vs Rest of world series.  1 heads up series then 2 tournaments in which team play and collusion was allowed.  Made for some very interesting tactics, specially when you got 4 UK players vs 1 US at final table.  As i say was a good laugh and brought up some interesting tactical discussions.  Nothing more than a good laiugh and all knew what they were into.

UK won of course...

If this goes ahead, and is Successful, we coyuld then have a Scotland v England tourney!

Obviously Irish would be with the Scots, and RFC would be with the English.

I think I fall on the side of poker not being a team sport. the only exception is HU team. but even that is a collection of individuals.
My feeling is that Blonde forum should politely decline this challenge and remind everyone that we have a friendly forum tourney coming up that all members can play.

That is a very good statement Adam, well said.

totally agree with adam. the last blonde tourney was fantastic and i think i am right in saying that is was enjoyed by everyone. there was no bitching no moaning about badbeats and it was really well organised with the bounty, added money and juice free so why change it

Sounds like Mandy's idea isn't going to kick off, not sure the collusion comments were meant directly at us Mandy just an in-general comment about team tourneys. I think in all honesty this wouldn't happen in the event, we'd all individually be playing to win. A disparity in play may arise from our notes I guess though - there'd be some Betfair players I'd be wanting to get involved in pots with and others not!

Not personally against a heads-up challenge of the same type but having not played many of these 100 would be way too much! Meanwhile looking forward to the next blonde tourney Smiley

dont think blonde forum would play for 100 a man 20 seems a reasonable price as 100 is a huge chunk of some of our bankrolls
