Okey, I'm new here and already suggesting changes. Would'nt it be good if Blonde poker added a few new forum categories to make it easier to find what you're looking for? This is a very big forum after all and I think it's unusual with this few forum categories.

Do you not think that a plethora of subforums and catagories muddies the water a bit?
As it is it's straightforward, the catagories are broad but if there is something in particular someone wants it's pretty easy to find, failing that then asking a question will bring a multitude of replies from helpful folk.
I think this is what sets blonde apart, most forums if you ask a question you get people haranguing you for not using the search button, not so here.

ifm's right, ouch, most topics are easy to find and you won't get flamed here, you are more likely to get help finding what you want. Input, however, is always gratefully recieved and we are considering one or two new child boards but nothing finalised.

I agree with ifm, I would hate for the Blonde forum to look like 2+2, which seems impenentrable from the outside.

I fear however that as the forum grows more boards will eventually be required to manage the traffic.

And Wrigley, welcome to blonde!

Appriciate the Welcome! About the sub forums I thought something like one for Cash games and one for Tournaments or something like that. It's not bad now, just a thought =)

I agree. I wasn't keen on 2+2, it was hard to navigate around and when a friend first told me about it, I thought it was a maths site.

Personally, I like the format as it is. I find that the more categories there are the harder it is to find what you're looking.

Something I've seen on other forums, that I find quite useful, is when you hover over the title of the thread, a tool-tip (is that what they're called?) pops up with the first few lines of the thread. This gives you a better idea of what the thread is about without needing to open it. It's no big deal but I find it quite useful and a bit of a 'nice to have'. Or am I just being lazy?

It's like gambling somehow. You go out for a night of drinking and you don't know where you're going to end up the next day. It could work out good or it could be disastrous. It's like the throw of the dice.

I like the format as well.  If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

I find this site very easy to navigate.  I post on quite a few forums and there is one in particular I used to post on that has too many fragments that I don;t even bother with it any more as its far to mess trying to find what your looking for these days.

personally i find some forums daunting when i looki at them never knowing where to go and them some boards never get traffic

all our main boards apart from the blonde profiles(which is designed for slow traffic as you cant reply to a profile) get alot of traffic and the child boards (apart from betting tips which is fast moving) get traffic ocasionally (ie when we move new stuff into the best of blonde or if there is a new bash) the idea is not to have too many boards that are too slow and putting people off while not having too few boards that people cant keep up, i hope that we have the correct mixture at the moment but we are always looking to make changes if needed (but not just for the sake of change)

how about having the facility where the postings are read out to you so that you dont have to stare at the screen reading?
