Final remaining female player Joanna Liu has been quietly amassing chips for quite a while.  Having started the day with a reasonable 39,800, she has built up a little tower of white chips (white=5000) equalling around 115,000

Stuart Nash OUT - having seen about three playable hands all day, he was whittled down to 20,000-odd and made a stand with sevens.  They didn't work for him and his exit brings the total number of players left to 39

Oh boy. Havng been AWOL all day, I have just read Jen's Live Update, her first totally solo effort. Is she the best updater that ever lived, or WHAT?

Time for the 'ol fella to take a back seat methinks.

You guys are in safe hands with Jen, that's for sure.

And she enjoys it so - as you can tell.

Look after her lads, she's the bizz.

I think it's the top 18 (there should be a post of the money one or two pages back...)

Players are ON BREAK, but the last hand before the break was big on 2 tables:

1) Roland limps UTG with KK, gets a caller to his left, as well as two calls from the blinds.  Flop:  8 8 4.  He bets 3,000, with two callers.  Turn: 9 (now two diamonds up).  The turn is checked around, and the exciting comes on the river.  His 10,000 bet is called by the s.b. who mucks his hand, but Roland reckons it was an 8 not a flush...

2) Casey Kastle moves all-in for less than 6,000 in late position.  The player to his immediate left moves all-in over the top for a little over 20,000.  The break is announced at this point and players start to get up and wander off but the small blind goes into dwell mode for what seems like ages before passing and showing AK.  Casey has AK as well, which is looking less good now against the QQ he's facing.  No help on the flop and he's out in 39th.

We are getting many conflicting reports of what's going on here with regard to end of play today.  The latest seems to be that they are going until there are 24 players left or it's 4am here (3am UK).  Tom asked Rolf if it was usual for them to change their minds so often and he just replied, "It's France."

Ahh, the reference to Dick (of Dick & Dom) on tonight's 425? I was extremely tired - zombie like in fact - which does not excuse my below-par peformance, but I do recall some chat about the fact that I'd never heard of Dick & Dom, but that apparently Dick's huge.

You must have an awful mind Robert, no double intendre was intended. Honest.

Roy Brindley back up to 70,000 after announcing that he was "going to war."  The major battle of said war involved his re-raising a guy with KQ and finding a monster pot unfolding with another caller and the original guy on AK and all-in.  The Q arrived and he's back in good shape.

Roland De Wolfe was briefly at the dizzy height of 160,000 before finding AQ and getting a short(ish) stack all-in with A10.  Unfortunately the 10 came straight away and he'll have to settle with the 120,000 he has left.
