I am going to buy a mobile phone tommorow.   I have used one twice in my life, so don't really understand them that well.  In the past I have always just shouted or  I send a letter if I needed to contact someone.  I watched a friend use one of these things the other day. It seems like a cool new invention.  So I am going to get one.

What kind should I get?. I don't want anything fancy and would prefer to be able to insert money into it when I need it. I met an old man while out on my bike a few weeks back, I was trying to fix my brake at the time.  He said  " Son you need to buy yourself a mobile and call AA ".  He then went on to tell me about his phone and why I shouldn't sign up to a company because it was a rip off.

Thanks ..

Is that your pet name for your phone  or is it an actual company name?

Get pay as you go if you don't use it very often.

Most Nokias are very easy to use.  If you want to use it outside of the UK then make sure you have international call bars lifted before you travel.

I have a contract and pay £15 a month, for that I get the latest free phone which is upgraded every 18 months and 2 hours of free talk time each month.

Shop around for the best deal to suit you.

www.easymobile.com are doing a good deal. You buy a sim card for £1 and get £21 free. If you buy a phone as well, you will get even more free credit.

Hun   sark..
I have got a pay as you go, as I dont use mine very much,I  just put £10 in it when i have run out of credit!!

A few of of the young lasses at work have been stung big time by contract phones and ended up with big bills they cant pay because they have used up all there free texts and phone calls and just kept using them...

I found a brand new pink razor phone at work the other day very nice!!!

I rang the home number on it and the young lass is coming to pick it up this week!!

Wouldnt the world be such a nicer place if every one was that honest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stance on this is what goes around comes around!!!

I got my first mobile phone in 1988, it was so big, when I plugged it into the car cigarette lighter, all the lights went out
