Walleye1977 finished in tenth place.

i over played my hand here early in a SnG as QQ doesnt play well
in a multi-way pot and there was enough chips in the pot to
warrent not wanting to see a flop
the table was not wild or anything
and this was the first hand i had played and then
only from the BB
i thought i would only get call from AA KK
and maybe AK
the player that called took along time thinking about calling before he did

can anyone think of a reason WHY??
when he called i was quite happy to see his cards but that flop
made me nervous and had me worrying about
all sort of consipraces

i havent played as much as most of you guys but dont think i have ever
seen such a call preflop so early in a tourny with so many chips left in play

Hi Ironside,

Well who can say what was in the geezer's mind, buy hey, think of the value you got! And don't tell me you never won the thing after that outrageous coup!

it cant be fixed or i wouldn't be showing a 150% profit in my reinvestment at party playing only small buy in SnG
mind you as soon as i start moving up to mid level SnG the rivers become evil think i'll cap my buy ins at a max of $20 untill i can can the swings involved at the wild play

ironside, for what it is worth I find the same

I play on a Party "skin" and manage to regularly beat the $22 and $33 SnGs but find I get ironed out when I parlay up to the $109s in "interesting" circumstances. Granted the play is a bit tighter and aware and i accept some diminution of return for a higher standard (although that might be a stretch to suggest that), but the variance in the ROI is so stunning that I have resolved to go no higher than $33 and milk it while I can.

On a side issue, playing Party at weekends is v lucrative compared to weekday....must be loads of "recreational" N Americans for the taking and not caring too much about the odd $33 I suppose!

Ha i was joking about online being fixed. Its just something i hear alot... and oddly enough from the odd pro as well. Guess it just takes a complete different set of skills to master. I play alot online but grew up a B & M player and its still where my biggest profits come from.

i am still new to the SnG sence on party infact party is a site i have never really played much

i do see alot more split pots at party than other sites but i am puttiing this down to the outrageouly bad play there

i tried a about a dozen $30 SnG's but having only transfered $100 into party i cant take the beats on the bubble i was getting at $30
i dont seem to get them at lower levels so stay there

hows this for a hand in a $30 SnG i have 4.5k 4 players left 8k in chips in play
i am on sb with AA blinds are still very low at 100/200 (very wierd game people calling all in with no draw)
bb has 1800 in chips other 2 are real low and are fighting it out to avoid bubble
i make it 600 to go he calls flop AQJ rainbow i have top set but there is 3 to a straight out there
question is would he call with KT i say no so want to trapp in as many chips as i can
i check he bets 500 i call turn shows a 6 giving a complete 4suit rainbow
i check he goes all in i call he shows AK
i chalk the river dow to experiance knowing that no matter what i was gonna double him up on that hand

2 hands later i get QQ in bb, utg makes it 600 i call to make sure there is no A or K on flop (dont want to mess with the big stack while on the bubble) flop comes JT9 i check he checks turn is an 8 i am sure he doesnt have KQ so i check he makes it 1000 i put him all in he calls with the idiot end of the straight and a k kicker i make a set on river to go with my straight and bubble

think i'll wait till i get 600$ at that site before i try the 30$ events again as the river is killing me more often than not
