In a game with some friends recently. Late on in the game i was out and i was shown someones hand after the flop (they were holding three 10's) and asked quietly, "does this beat 2 pairs?"
I resisted the temptation to shout "you've been playing poker for two hours and you don't know the hand rankings?"
I assumed that it was a prerequisite for playing the game, but apparently not in some peoples eyes.

It got me thinking about the main things that every player should know before sitting down at the table. I'll start with

1. Hand Rankings

anyone care to add to the list?

That being in the Blinds doesn't mean you can't look at your cards.

Have had lots of problems with the lads at my local who previously only played Brag.

Sometimes not knowing the rules properly is a good thing, as i found out recently whilst playing strip Monopoly with three good looking female monkeys.......

Dont teach them, just keep reaping the benefits, they will learn in the end!!

well sometimes thats about as good as it gets.

If you dont understand the rules change em.

Its the same all overthe place people talk but they dont do much.

disregard the echr if you in domestic gaverment.

drive as fast as you like, muller someone with significant previous and get snt to a loverly fraggle rock jail.

move the short stack ay will.

slap a woman whos riding on a bike and film it cos you think its funny.

everyone just does what they like so why should you go through life "so so" being a productive member of socioty.

call 4 the gutshot on the river with nthing near pot odds , why not CRYPTO will deal you in.

next time you play with your mates tell them that you jaust got a job as a bouncer at mothercare and that your playing SNAP no arguments!!!!

I'm fairly new here so all i have narrowed down my conclusions about the previous post to the following.

1) I'm missing some running joke.

2) You are extremely drunk

3) You are stark raving mad

I have not ruled out a combination of all three of the above.
