the site is hosted on geocities and has nothing to do with ladbrokes

if anyone else went to the site please check your firewalls and anti virus software are upto date and running correctly as they are loggin the ips of everyone that visits the site (if you have a dynamic ip relase your ip number and get a new one by turning off your modem/router and restarting it)

Laddies announced last time that they had been hacked.

I was on the site, in a comp, when the Pop-Up & note in the Chat-Box appeared half an hour ago.

I may be wrong, but I'm SURE it is a scam. Why on earth would they ask for your CC details?

Iron is checking out the site NOW, but we are certain it is NOT connected to Laddies.

Well done for averting your disaster there, but isn't this a bit scary? If you can get a pop up from Laddies that makes sensible people go and do this ..how secure is laddies?

If there's a big enough hole to send a pop up out....

Definately a hacker- i got the same messsage and I was number 8 to go to the thread (anything similar jules). I know its a con because I waited 5 mins then opened another browser and typed in the adress again and guess what- I was lucky number 8. Cancel card quickly anyone who replied to this.

spoke to my cc card company & the good news is it hasn't been used for a few weeks...thank god for the blonde forum tho & the qucik response warnings.
i'm pretty sure all my firewall stuff is up to date & pukka...pretty scary that they can try to knobble me thru trusted sites that i frequent.

& yes mpower, i'm as surprised as you that i didn't actually cash...now that's a badbeat

Ive always wondered this about online cardrooms-if a hacker can hack into the ladbrokes system so you give him your card details- would it be possible for them to log into ours at the same time to see what we see on our screen- in other words could hackers see what our hole cards are?? this would be particularly bad with cash games but not too bad with tournys

the few hackers with the skill and knowledge to do this have more profitable things to do like attack companies like ladbrookes

and banks those hackers that would find it profitable would be stopped by the most basic firewalls
