VERY tense break for the players on the bubble.

Blinds will be 3000 6000 with a 500 ante when they come back.  That'll sort them out.

Short stacks have been taking the plunge but all have so far survived.  Example: Peter Heighway who is keeping notes which is very helpful for me when I stay too long drinking tea in the break...
Nicolae Simcelescu raised to 10 and Peter found A2 on the big blind and went for it, finding QK against him.  The board came 7 5 7 6 7 and Peter has 50,000 now.

Hi Jen. Quick question, sorry if you've already given the answer. How many are they playing down to tonight, is it 6?

Oh and don't forget the menu, i'm still trying to get my head around yesterdays salad and hot chocolate.

Hi Jen,

Can you please send our regards to Pete Heighway from the Betfair team if you get a chance? Thanks - great work as ever.

Out of curiousity, why aren't Betfair giving the tournament, yet alone Pete, much coverage on their website ?   Oh, and any chance of Betfair getting us out there tomorrow when he makes the final 6  Wink   Grin

Joanna Liu the last of the short doublers-up, being called by two players who checked it down, but she flopped a pair of Queens and is back to 25k

I think you mean the game 'Courchavel' which is where you get the first card of the flop face up before the first betting round.  Omaha variant, I believe.  Played at the Slough Palace Grin

We will try to nab some pictures (cameraless currently)...

Yesterday for dinner I ate a lovely faux-filet avec frites (steak n chips) and I've had a lot of croissant pastry in one form or another today.

DOWN TO !17!!! It's always the last hand before the break!

Peter Heighway OUT
Carlos De Silva OUT

Curt Kohlberg raised on the button enough to put both blinds (Heighway and De Silva) all-in.  They BOTH went for it, showing:

Kohlberg  KK
Heighway  A5
De Silva   QQ

Although Peter was a bit shorter, the all-in short stacks did a deal and are splitting the hard-earned 18th place of 14,990 Euros!
