Poker Tonight

I am off to Ramsgate Grosvenor tonight, it's a £5 rebuy but not as hectic as a Friday night, so I might be wrong, but I think I have a pretty decent chance at this. At least I'm hoping to anyway! I haven't been on a Sunday night before but I'm guessing they have around 30-50 runners.
I'm just hoping and praying that tonight I can come home and tell you all that I at least made the final table, I'll be so happy. I seem to do ok at online poker, I don't have to keep a poker face, and I don't get intimidated by people, whereas during live poker I can't keep a straight face, whether I'm bluffing or do actually have the nuts, I still grin if someone tries to analyse me... I also find that I get intimidated.
The plan is to go and play some decent poker, practise a neutral face and body language, and BULLY!
I look forward to letting you know how I get on!
Wish me Luck!

£5 oooh , goodluck ! Were thinking of running one of them at the bigslick , are they crazy crapshoots ? I wouldnt worry too much about body language , just keep it simple as from my experience your get people chucking it in with any two cards , If someone starts questioning you during a hand for information its best too just stare at one spot on the table , well thats what I do , but I dont think there will be too much pressure as after all it is only a £5 . goodluck

They are crapshoots, on a Friday they're crazy, but I heard Sundays are more relaxed. £5 isn't a lot but I have to crack them before I play bigger buy-in tourneys. I think thats the sensible approach.

After about 5 rebuys I went out just before the end of the rebuy period, I had 1,000 chips left and picked up my first card, it was an ace, picked up my second card, it was another ace. Obviously not as good as 74os, but I decide to go all in with my 1k chips. I get lots of calls, and I'm rivered by someone holding K5... they made two-pair.
I have some dinner and Leon lets me play on the 3 card poker for him. Only playing the pair plus box my first hand is a pair... good start. Then very next hand I get a flush, wooo! Get a crap hand next so I blame the oh-so-yummy dealer! Next hand is a straight, I started with £10 and it's now up to about £65 I think. Leon comes to sit down next to me and plays another box. I pick up and see A... then another A... I can hear people behind me saying "Don't look Don't look!" so I put it down, the dealer picks up my hand and throws over the two aces, the dealer and inspector (Marcin and Lawrence - both yum yum yum) look and smile, theres my other Ace... I may have slightly screamed at this point
Played another few hands and then left.
Overall a good night, but not texas hold'em poker wise! Better luck next time for me.
