HUGE pot.

Pascal opens for 60k, Andreas calls.

Flop -4d, -7h, -3d.

Andreas checks, Pascaql bets 150k, Andreas quickly RR to 400,000, Pascal goesall-in. BIG dwell by Andreas, he calls.

Pascal has -9c, -9d.

Andreas -Jc, -7s.

Turn -Kh,. river -3c

Pascal takes a HUGE pot, and Andreas is crippled now with 246,000, Pascal about 2,720,000.

Pascal -8d, -5h.

Board -5s, -Qc, -6s, -Ad, -Ah.

So Andreas takes it with his undercard, & he's up to 380,000 now. Not dead yet.....

Penly gets it right again - yes Dave, it now appears that when they took a 5 min break just after they became level in chips, they DID do a deal. I guess 50/50 the lolly, & the winner gets the trophy.

So Pascal takes the title, a huge dollop of Ranking points, a fat cheque for 184,500 euros, and a seat for Monte Carlo.

Andreas takes 101,400 for second, and a Monte Carlo seat.

OK, lets get back to serious business.

I just spotted that most eccentric of dressers, Robert Binelli, wearing what appears to be a baseball cap made of STRAW or wicker. I asked him if it was "wicker or straw", he seemed most insulted. He said it was made of "plant roots". Ahh, that's ok then.
