Anyone know if there is a market or a list of confirmed runners anywhere? Huh?

Hi Russ.

There will be markets formed by both Betfair & Intertops I believe, but not until the list of runners is known.

Both companies generally let us know when they form a market on poker events, so if & when they do, we will let you know straight away.

Who's your fancy? (and that's a poker question...)

whos my fancy? Mercier of course Kiss  As for the poker I think we could be in for the first final with a few "faces" on it. The slow structure should IMO favour the likes of Trumper rather than the aggresive scandie type player. Simon is also due a bit of luck in one of these. Willie is also on fire at the minute and I will be certainly having a few quid on him. Lively outsider may be that rather talkative bloke russ cawley  Wink

Hi Guys,

After all the fun of Vienna (it wasn't too much fun because Pascal was popular with our customers Sad ), we now have our betting on site for the Monte Carlo Main Event which starts on Wednesday.

Please visit the following link http://www.intertops.com/sportsbook/cgi-win-2/itwww.exe?app=itbet.exe?scrncd=BO;spofno=350544

Regards,
Mike

SHOCK HORROR!

Hold up guys, a word of warning before you plunge on the obvious value bet, a man who made the money (just) in the Deauville EPT, & missed the money (just) in the Vienna EPT - tikay....!

Seriously, unless I can win a last chance satellite on Tuesday, I shan't be playing the biggie. Sad

So before plunging your life savings on the 'ol fella, wait a few days. And if I do happen to qualify, my suggestion is....still wait!

But at least I shall be able to concentrate on bringing you guys Live Updates from the very off, so it's not all bad.

By the way, a word of thanks to my special buddy Julian Thew, who offered to buy a bit of me in this week's Monte Carlo EPT when he realised I was not going to play due to the high entry cost. Now THAT's an act of faith, eh?

Who to bet on, then? Well, by his own admission, William Hill's Yoyo Thew had a mare in Vienna. He don't often play bad twice in a row, & I know he's itching to do well in what will be the European season's biggest ever tourney. He has 3 EPT money finishes this season already, and that's no coincidence.

And if you fancy two against the field, well blonde's own Dave Colclough is sure to give a good account of himself, & he has a habit of showing well in the bigger comps. After scooping 70,000+ against a really good field in Walsall, I expected him to go well in Vienna. He was as low as 2,000 chips at one stage, & clawed his way back to an above average 20,000, before he had his Aces cracked.

Dip your bread!

Having sat with him for the best part of 10 hours in Vienna.  I would say the Italian Luca Pagano is a good bet although didn't see a price quoted (mike??)

Blondie is good value also.  Devilfish not been doing it recently so could be good to be against him!

i agree Junior, Luca has a good game,, & I thought his exit hand in Vienna was particularly cruel. He went pretty deep, & with a bit of luck, he would have been in the shake-up.

Having had just a quick look at the market (incomplete of course but not a bad opening one) three people stand out apart from my above mentioned tips. Julian Gardiner, Lucy and Noah are all very nice looking prices. Still think the current form of Willie will at least get him to the final though. Think I will probably wait for the betfair market to open before I commit any of my hard earned though.

Thanks for the replies to the earlier posting, Guys and Gals.

Updated odds for the Monte Carlo Main Event are now available with a few notable additions (Thanks for the names of players who should be added, it is most appreciated)

Happy Punting,
Mike

if I was a betting man, i would be completely potless. Poker is bad enough!!

However I think a slower structure in M Carlo will suit a more traditional player.

I'm looking for a "name" to win it

I'll have a crack at Whacker Bush going a long way in it.

What about a special blondepoker bet? Could langboy give odds for anyone registered on this forum making the final table ie: Mr Colclough, Julian, Russ, Mel, Aces or Ben.

Wow, now THAT's an interesting idea Mike!

But I guess the players would HAVE to be named. There are quite a number of players (well, a few...) registered on the blonde forum, but they dont all give their true identity. And we would not wanna rob the poor bookie, now would we........?

Great piece of thinking Mike. Over to the bookies now.......
