Ladbrokes have Spain at 16/1, I suggest you back now with a view to lay off if they make it through to later rounds.  Other bookies and the exchanges don't want to lay this bet at 12/1

Spain are a gamble.  They always have the potential to do great but never do.

Yes except Spain are 16/1 and not 7/1.  It is almost certain they will make it past the group stages where after their odds will be slashed, so you can lay it off then

I see.

They do have a weak group right enough and if they win it
they go against second place in the France group ( Togo or Switzerland)

So good shout

My tip for a lay off bet is the good old USA.  Yep, they have a tough group but they are ranked no. 5 in the world at the moment and are trading on Betfair at 120 currently.  If they get out of the group there is going to be some serious reduction in odds and is well worth a punt imo.

Also, Henry for top scorer is a great value bet too.  France have one of the easiest groups and Henry could well have the top scorer in the bag by the end of the group stages.  Depends on which France team turn up though.

Good shout for Henry.

He's my choice.

I won a bundle on Ronaldo in the last world cup following the same logic.

He had China,Costa Rica and Turkey in the group in 2002.
He had four goals after that first stage. That German Klose caused
a bit of a panic after getting 5 in one match but class told in the end.
