Hello, everyone! I haven't been around these forums since the EPT Championship, when Rhapsody and I were trying to root Isabelle and Jen to a one-two finish.

I was at Rhowena's event last night (The Poker Dome Challenge), and did a writeup with photos on my blog. I wasn't covering much of the action, because it airs almost live here in the States (1 day after taping). But there's lots of background information and some photos. I'll try to post a recap on the action tonight, after it airs on TV here.

Y'all have done a great job covering events for me in Europe, so I figured it's the least I could do, right?

I hope you like it! Here's the direct link:

I stayed up late last night writing all this, so let me know if anything sounds silly or stupid (or wrong), and I'll correct it. Smiley

And feel free to check out the rest of my poker blog:

Disclaimer: I am no longer with Card Player, and will be changing my screenname soon. I'm still using it here, just so you know that it's really me.  Smiley

Whilst I have been duly doing my conkers in sunny Barcelona, unable to win at Heads Up, Tournaments, Internet play or Crash....Rhowena was lucky enough to qualify in a 'private invitation' online satelitte on the new Mansion Poker site. She qualified and was off to the brand new FOX Poker Dome in Las vegas to play in a televised tourney. (so she didn't get any interferance from me).
Her heat included a mixture of internet qualifiers including Brian Wilson.
She was 4-1 down when she was heads up but picked up a string of A9, A8, AK hands and qucikly turned it round demolishing her opponent.
This was her first ever 'win' for a whopping $25,000.
She moves forward to the semi final in 7 weeks time.
...meanwhile I am retiring to look after the kids.

It was great TV, what a great job by Rhow. The only problem was the tears of joy when she won. I told her " there is no crying in poker".
If it wasnt me in the winners circle you know my 2nd choice was Rhow. She played like a champ, I think I played like a chump.

Now if she can win the $1Mil grand prize DC really could retire to the house life

Hi to everyone here at Blonde.  Rowena was a VERY popular winner here last night at the Tropicana in Vegas.  The game played on the Mansion Poker Dome is M SPEED POKER.  You might recall the great coverage Dave gave the game when it debuted in Estonia 18 months ago, well it seems Dave gave his lovely lady a tip or two.  A few teething problems with our first show but it should look VERY good on TV tonight. (18 hours after taping).  The players had $50,000 in chips, 20 minute levels the blinds = $1k/$2k, $2k/$4k, $3k/$6k, $5k/$10K.  They never got to the $5/$10/k level.  They played a total of 43 hands and 41 of them will go to air so you get to see the whole thing almost.
Look forward to seeing lots of you Blonde guys here in Vegas during this 43 week season .
Cheers,
