Long dwell from Ian Cox.

Noflops had raised to 1.8k under the gun, Ian Cox reraised a third of his stack to make it 4k. Back round to flopsy who moved all-in for... well, lots, but he has Cox well covered.

After a lenghty mulling over, Cox folds.

Flopsy confesses (to me) that he has aces.

While I'm writing this, flopsy has some more news on his progress.

Homer writes, a guy just raised in EP and I called in the big blind with 66, flop comes KT6, I check, he bets 1200, I call, turn was a 2, I checked and he checked, river came a Jack and I made a bet for 2000. He instantly moved all-in and I really thought he had AQ, to call would've cost all my chips and I still had about 14k back so after a long dwell I folded. He showed A5.... Bugger.

Okay folks, hand of the day, and probably tournament, for you now.

All the chips move in on a flop of:

Two Clubs

Antony hughes =

A Miles =

Iain Abrahams =

Miles is the shorstack, then Hughes, with Iain holding the most amount of chips.

Look set in stone with the Ace on the flop, but...

Turn =

River =

RIGGED!!!

It wouldn't happen online...

Soon after that Hughes made his exit with A-K v pocket fives. Five on the turn sealed the deal.

(ps. sry for the repeated posts, the card is playing tricks with my poor beagle head. grr)

It certainly wouldn't happen online.  Now if they were on trn/river then it might...

If they where playing on Blonde it would without a doubt!!

We've just lost Tony Adderley..

If anyone spots him, please could you escort him to the front desk where his parents will pick him up again.

On a serious note, he has actually just been eliminated from the comp, in rather nasty (poker-wise) circumstances.

After some hot preflop action, he moved all-in on a 3-7-T flop.

His opponent, er... Mateyboy, called instantly and showed er... A-K off (??)

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, well a short story short I guess, an Ace hit the turn and Flushy's earlier assassin was sent packing.

I won't be publishing his exiting expletives.

R Backstrom is OUT.

He moved his shortstack in with 8-9 off. Unfortunately he ran into A Miles's pocket queens. Ian Cox, who had raised from the button only to discard his hand after Miles reraised from the blind, held (or 'did') A-Q.

He wouldn't have outdrawn Miles though, as the 2-T-K-K-T board helped nobody, and only served to eliminate the Scandinavian (I think) and add (only slightly) to the stack of Miles.

Just saw the Camel hastening out of the cardroom - but he's not out, just on a loo spree... his chips have been up and down today, but mainly up, with his first boost coming in the form of a double up with which got paid on a three clubs board as his opponent's had hit just enough....

Then about five minutes later he was all-in again, but it was preflop, over the top of a mid position raiser who obligingly folded giving him a few more chips.

Mike Magee is OUT.

F. Jahr is OUT - eliminated by Iain Abrahams...

Elsewhere: S. Harris doubles up off Faud Serhan, who'd raised 2k in mid position - Harris moved in for about three times this bet from the small blind (rather rapidly, it was noticed) but he got a call from AJ, which must have delighted him, sitting there with AK off... No help for his potential eliminator on the board, and he's back in it.

Stuart Nash just raised to 2,700, but laid it down when NoflopsHomer re-raised another 6k from the small blind.  Strong commit-y type move there.

And Jim Reid is moving all in now and then, picking up pots with his fearless (but well-timed) attacks.

Blinds are up. We're now on 600/1200 antes.

Other news... Keith is demanding to know when the bar is closing, and he looked slightly distraught by the pre-dawn answer. He's decided to battle on though.

Bit of table talk between Stuart Nash and Jim Reid (all good natured of course). 'Are you going to look at your cards before you check?' asks Jim from the button. 'Talk is so cheap, isn't it?' replies Nash from the big blind. Jim bet the Q-K-7 flop, Nash called, kinda reluctantly. Both check the 8 turn, before Jim sticks in 1.3k on the Jack river. After a short dwell, Nash mucked, but I managed to quick peek at his 6-7. Don't tell a soul though!

Finally, I'd just like to show my appreciation to all the visitors we've had to day. My thanks go out to the both of you. :-)
