Bubble time??

ah well, with the mage uploading problems that the slow connection time is causing, we're all going to have to use our imagination and simply picture Sir Hammer in our heads.

I don't know about you, but 15 years on and he's still very much fresh in my mind. That Ice Ice Baby song he did was awesome!

Blinds have just risen to 800/1600.

So, just 10 players remaining, it looks like an early night... although we'd better not speak to soon.

The Camel has just doubled up courtesy of Mr biggy big stack Nick Jenkins.

versus

Board = three clubs two hearts

As Stuart Nash correctly said, 'The wrong hand won for the vultures.'

Stuart Nash Narrowly Avoids The Bubble News Now -

With 4,000 making its way in preflop, a short stacked Stuart moved in on the flop, and got called by S. Harris' .  This presumably wasn't what he was after, holding and all, but a timely on the turn saved his bacon and he's now in good chip shape.

No one is desperately low yet, and this last exit might be the hardest fought over.  Well, there is no money for tenth, after all.

As per usual, bubble time has led to some cagey play, but, as soon as something fascinating happens, Jen will be over in a jiffy with the inside scoop.

Nick Jenkins flat calls under the gun. All fold round to S Harris in the big blind who checks.

Flop =

Harris checks, Jenkins bets 3k, Harris calls.

Turn =

check check

river =

check check

Jenkins =

Harris =

scaredy cats!

And it's over for the day, folks, if any of y'all are hovering...

Jim Reid is the unfortunate bubbler - in a pot which was more than his stack by the river he made a stealy move with which bore slight relevance to the Two Clubs board.  But Adrian Royle's had a lot more and knocked him out in 10th.

So this must be the earliest Day One finish I have ever experienced!  But we'll be back after a nice refreshing sleep tomorrow at 3pm when the final is scheduled to start.  Hopefully someone will erect a mobile phone mast in the corner of the casino during the night, and then we can be our usual prolific selves.

Snoopy brings the final chip counts:

Yup, Good Luck Floppy!

And a big thanks to Jen & slopps, trying to do an update with an iffy Voafone Connection, & only 1 Lappie, as yours truly, with Lappie, was a no-show. Sorry!
