I think so, I know the clean up man is batting fourth, (so with one on and no out, i think that means two runs have been scored for that side already during the innings) but I though the ERA was a picher's statistic.
So not really quite there yet.

At least I'm finished that article thingy now. Will go to bed after another a little more forum trawling.
Sorry for the attempted hijack Billy.
Good luck tonight at Cincinnatis.
Aye, not bad there squire - 8 out of 10 with a bonus mark from spotting the deliberate mistake

.
The ERA is a pitching statistic, its the RBI's and batting average that are used mainly for the batters. The one on with no out just means that the batting team already have one man on base but have yet to lose any of their three outs - there's no reference to the score during that inning.
The clean up hitter is a term used to describe someone who bats 4th in the inning, usually the three batters most likely to get on base will bat 1st, 2nd and 3rd and whoever bats 4th is the power hitter who can score a big home run to get all the base runners to score - and hence clean up...
Anyhows - also my apologies to Mr Newmanseye. Nice job squire, keep up the good work!!
