Ian Wright is excellent, good to see someone with true passion when it comes to footie.
I just don't understand why they get non Englishmen to analyse England games, daft.
To give the rest of us a break from their f***ing inherrent ramblings about how great England are. TBH I'd rather watch the coverage in German!
LMAO

I don't get people's beef with Ian Wright. He says things others wont because he isn't afraid to.
I loved the Hansen - O'Neill arguments 4 years ago - where are they now eh? Shearer is ok if not a bit dull.
The commentary booth consists of Motson and Lawrenson though. Heaven help me.
Don't even get me started on ITV.

Like Stuart Pearce in the studio on ITV. Jay Jay Okocha has legs like tree-trunks too (courtesy of my feminine side, that observation)
also Mick McCarthy is surprisingly good as the analyst for games on BBC...I like it when the guys get into tactics and playing styles, except if it is David Pleat.

Agreed Tighty. I dislike McCarthy as a manager/moaner, but his analysis is spot on.

I like McCarthy both as a manager and his analysis of the game.
He knows what he's talking about, he was a decent manager done well with Ireland done well with sunderland in Division one but the board never backed him with any cash so it was inevitable they where going back down.
I also can't stand Pleat, you know when he's on I think God I wish they'd bring back ron.

Also Martin O' Neill offers much greater depth to his analysis than most.
I agree, hope he doesn't get axed because of his lack of fluency in conveying his opinions.

Get Tank, Jen or Padraig Parkinson doing the analysis rather than these hordes of insipid, unimaginative ex footballers and we'd finally inject some colour and humour into the commentary.
Will need to work on the stutter first. Or maybe that could be my gimmick.

I enjoy the Budweiser segments in the ad breaks of ITV's coverage. They tickle my funny bone.
Perhaps they will get annoying by the contest's conclusion, time will tell.

He is a terrible manager.

Oh crikey don't get Bandit started again. Its a small step from McCarthy to Roy Keane, Scottish tartan armies and English press bias and how crap we are and how Scotland are fantastic.
He never mentions Ally McLeod, Alan Rough or Rab Douglas though.
Don't blame me when he kicks off

ITV are an embarassment, surely they can find better,I cannot think of anything good to say about them

This guy John Champion really is my least favourite commentator, he makes my toes curl with his patronising style.
